King’s medal to Digital Futures faculty member Professor Georgia Destouni

King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden has decided to award Georgia Destouni, professor at Stockholm University and Digital Futures faculty memberH.R.H. The King’s Medal of the 8th size with the ribbon of the Order of the Seraphim for her “outstanding contributions in water and climate research.”

H.M. The King’s Medal (formerly known as the Court Medal), created in 1813, is presented to individuals who have distinguished themselves through special merits, or by meritorious service in the Royal Court of Sweden.

Gia (Georgia Destouni) will give a popular science Academy Talk at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences on June 8, 18:00-19:00, with the title Vatten och klimat – förändringar i samspel (English translation: Water and climate – interplaying changes).
